Part fiction, part essay this book raises the radical and essential questions about whether to become a mother. Narrated from the perspective of a woman who is child free when she is of child bearing age. She explores how she is perceived as tragic by society when she feels unencumbered and powerful, whether it is enough to create art instead of life and whether there is a male equivalent to ‘barenness’. This book is one of the few books addressing so many questions of our time, especially the largest question of all, whether to create human life or not.
